1 Maruti Alto
Until the late 2010 introduction of the K10 Alto, it was powered by a three-cylinder 796 cc gasoline engine with 4 valves per cylinder, MPFI and a 32bit ECM. All models have a five-speed manual transmission. There also used to be a VX/VXi model with a 4-cylinder 1061 cc engine (64 bhp/80 Nm torque) launched in April 2001. This has now been discontinued, although it is still sold in certain European countries. The VX model also featured a tachometer not found in lesser Altos.
The Mahindra Bolero is an SUV which is designed to carry seven or ten people. The fifth best-selling vehicle in India has sold 102005 units between January and November 2013. It is a basic utility vehicle that is well-suited to Indian conditions. Even though it is based on a decades-old platform, its high ground clearance makes it easier to drive on rural Indian roads. Equipped with a 2523 cc diesel engine, it has become the vehicle of choice for rural populace.
It is offered with an 814cc three-cylinder gasoline engine that generates 55 bhp and 75 Nm torque. Eon has a fuel economy rating of 26.3 kilometers per liter as claimed by the company and is equipped with 13-inch wheels fitted with 155/70R13 tires.
In 2010 Hyundai launched a face lifted version of the i10 in India which uses a Kappa 2 engine with VTVT Technology to further improve performance of this engine. Hyundai engineers have taken the existing 1.2-litre 4-cylinder Kappa engine and added VTVT (Variable Timing and Valve Train). The i10 is the first small car in the country to receive variable valve timing making it, on paper at least, the most sophisticated 1.2-litre engine in its segment. This system, working on the intake side, helps in altering the valve timing and lift according to the situation and thus improves low-end responses and fuel efficiency.
Hyundai i20 is powered by an 1.2L Kappa engine with 80 PS power. It also comes with a 1.4L gamma gasoline which has 100 PS, but is mated only to a four-speed automatic transmission. The i20 CRDi diesel has 90 PS and comes with a six-speed manual transmission.
The Innova is petrol model has 2.0 L or 2.7 L or a 2.5 L common rail diesel engine and the diesel variants use turbocharged 2KD-FTV engine. Both gasoline and diesel versions are available in either manual or automatic transmission.
The

2 Maruti Dzire
Maruti launched the Maruti Dzire in India on 26
March 2008. It is a sedan version of the Swift hatchback. It replaced
the long standing Maruti Esteem and shared its engines
with the hatchback. The popular car had sold 182890 units between
January and November 2013. Swift DZire is a result of an indigenous
project started in 2005 to design a three-box notchback version of the
Swift hatchback. Some changes have been made to the car’s overall
styling to seamlessly integrate the boot.
3 Maruti Swift
Swift is a subcompact hunchback premium car from
Maruti which has sold 182469 units between January and November 2013.
It was launched in
India in May 2005 with a 1.3-litre petrol engine. Later, in early 2007,
Maruti introduced the Swift with a Fiat-sourced 1.3 L DDiS engine. In
2010, due to the new BS IV emission norms, Maruti replaced the 1.3 L
petrol engine with a 1.2 L K-series engine. In August 2011, Maruti
launched the all-new third-generation Swift, with 1.2 L K-series petrol
and 1.3 L DDiS engines.
4 Maruti Wagon-R
It is one of the first cars to use the "tall
wagon" or "tall boy" design, in which the car is designed to be
unusually tall with a short bonnet and almost vertical hatchback,
and sides in order to maximize the cabin space while staying within the
kei car dimension restrictions. The car with different design has sold
149079 units between January and November 2013.

launched in 1 October 2011 in India and was produced at Hyundai's
Chennai plant for the domestic and export markets as the company's entry
level city car.

The Hyundai i20 is a supermini car produced by the South Korean manufacturer \Hyundai
since 2008. It is a premium hatchback which has got the Indian
acceptance with 68297 units sold between January and November 2013.

Toyota Innova is a compact MPV manufactured by Toyota and it is the
best selling MUV in India right now. The car has sold 58266 units between
January and November 2013. The MUV find a close competition from its
counterpart Maruti Ertiga whose figures are rapidly catching up.

Maruti
Ertiga turned out to be the second best selling MVP (Multi Utility
Vehicle) after Toyota Innova. The car has climbed to the 10 spot on this
list by
kicking out the previous contenders, Tata Indica and Vista models. The
seven-seat compact MPV from Maruti has sold 57295 units between January
and November 2013.
The cars acclaimed 1248cc DDiS, Variable Geometry Turbocharger (VGT)
engine, which has already been used by the company in the popular sedan
SX4, has got some out the box capabilities to provide remarkable mileage
numbers. The maximum power and peak torque figures of the diesel
variant are 90 PS at 4000 rpm and 200 Nm at 1750 rev per minute
respectively. The petrol and diesel versions of Maruti Ertiga MPV are
coupled with a 5-speed manual transmission as standard, in all models.
